After a late start and a F'd up event...I was fairly pleased with my time. I'm a trail runner..NOT a long distance runner.

BITCH TIME:

Besides being ~bitter~ cold (no one to blame here) the horrible day started out with HUGE traffic jams into the parking lots due to restricted lanes. Once parked, we hustled to catch a bus from ASU to downtown Phoenix. PROBLEM.... NO F'in busses ready for our parking garage. We waited at least 40minutes as just a few busses came & filled up quickly while we moved toward the front of the line. Oh yea.. it was stinkin' cold. Finally, at 8:30am we got on a bus. The race was supposed to start at 8:30!! We had a 30min ride into town!! Luckily, the race was posponed until 9:00am. Big deal..as that's when we arrived.

We quickly made our way to the lovely port-o-johns (a special thanks to the chick I followed for the juicy lump she left that smelled like the breakfast special at Filberto's. I checked my stuff with UPS who kindly brought it to the finish-line for you (this is the ONLY thing that went well). The race had started by this time. We made our way over to the corrals & off we went.

My results were posted by the time we got home. My wife's not so lucky as the results site state due to an unprecidented power surge some times were lost. They will have to check the video to extract finish times. Oops..her bad as she had her jacket covering her bib :(

All in all a messed up event which seemed poorly organized. Even leaving the parking deck, they had pedestrians walking in front of cars. I'm still tryin' to clean body parts off my under-carriage! But I'm glad we did it...even if we have a hitch in our git-up for a few days.
